After a long, excruciating 15 months, rock trio, Fatherson, are finally releasing new music!
'Piece of Mind' is the first of two singles that were first created back in 2019. Before the threat of being closer than 2 feet to someone was terrifying. In a creative session with mastermind producer, Cladius Mittendorfer, the single began. However, like all creative minds, Fatherson hit a writing block.
In the meantime, we were gifted the album that is "Normal Fears". Definitely worth it. Now, in 2023, the band are ready for us to hear what they wrote all those years ago. Yes, 4 years really is that long.
Do you ever find yourself in a bit of a mess? Whether it's in your head or in real life? Well, that can leave all of us feeling alone. So, it's nice to know that you have a solid circle of friends that have your back. And that's what "Piece of Mind" is all about.
Even when you have absolutely nothing figured out and might feel like a bit of a ninny, you have people that you can rely on to help you muddle through. Because we are all definitely muddling.
"Piece of Mind", while written before "Normal Fears", has a similar, mellowed out vibe. A nice reprieve from the hard guitar and drums of their normal stuff.
With a nod to The Rat Pack and Radiohead comes a blend of soothing vocals, energetic horn, and, spiralling cannons. Perfect for days when you need a hug but aren't quite ready to come out of your feels.
